In a rural town in Eastern Oregon, Japanese-Americans like Mike Iseri have found and created a home. Hundreds relocated to Ontario after their release from internment camps in World War II, and most never left. Like his father George and grandfather Matahichi, Mike wears many hats, running the family insurance agency by day and leading church groups, volunteering, and lending an hour (or two) to anyone who asks for it. For three generations of Iseris, home is the people that surround them, with an obligation to leave the world better than how it was found.
